Fort Lauderdale Rhinoplasty (Nose Jobs)

Rhinoplasty is always individualized for each patient. The nose can be reshaped by refining the tip, smoothing down the hump, narrowing the width, changing the nasal length, correcting deviations, and narrowing the nostrils.

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as “nose reshaping” or a “nose job”, is the term used to describe the surgical procedure performed to enhance the appearance or improve the function of the nose. An individual may seek Rhinoplasty to correct birth defects, breathing problems, or issues from a trauma to the nose. Others may have Rhinoplasty performed for cosmetic reasons. During this procedure, the nose can be reshaped by changing the length of the nose, narrowing the nostrils, narrowing the width of the nose, refining the tip, and removing a hump on the bridge.

Depending on the desire of the patient, the procedure can be open or closed. Typically, incision scars are small and inconspicuous. Most sutures are absorbable and inside the nose.  The procedure is done outpatient. A small external splint is placed over the nasal bridge for a week.
