Fort Lauderdale Upper and Lower Body Lift Surgery

Flank, thigh, and buttocks lifts can recontour the silhouettes of patients who have excess, hanging skin in these regions, as a result of weight loss or aging. With the popularity of gastric bypass surgery, lower body lifts have become commonplace. Liposuction may be combined with these procedures.

Weight loss and aging can leave excess skin that hangs from the upper arms, thighs, buttocks, abdomen and hips. Upper arm and lower body lifts can reshape and recontour these areas.

Brachioplasty, commonly referred to as an upper arm lift, removes the excess skin from the patient’s upper arms. This excess skin is common in aging patients and in those who have experienced a large volume weight loss from bariatric or gastric bypass surgery.

A belt lipectomy, commonly referred to as a central body lift, is a procedure that takes a tummy tuck one step further by reshaping the abdomen, buttocks, and hips. A lower body lift includes the inner thighs as well. For those patients who have lost a very large amount of weight, this procedure would remove the excess skin left behind after the weight loss.  Thigh lifts and breast lifts are also commonly performed after a significant weight loss. Various procedures can be performed together or in a staged fashion. These procedures are commonly performed in the hospital setting.
