Fort Lauderdale Eyelid Lifts, Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery

Upper and lower eyelids are greatly improved by removing excess hanging skin and fatty "bags". Patients often appear younger and more well rested following the procedure. The eyelid lifts are individualized to each patient's need. Blepharoplasty can be combined with other procedures, such as laser treatment, BOTOX ® Cosmetic, and a facelift.

Blepharoplasty is the procedure of removing excess skin and fat from the eyelid. As a person ages, the skin around the eyes loses its elasticity and can begin to sag and fill with fatty deposits. If the condition is allowed to progress, the extra skin can hang over the eyelashes. This procedure can reduce the “bags” under the eyes, giving the patient a more youthful and rested look.

Eyelid lifts can be combined with other facial rejuvenation such as face lifts, lip augmentation, and chin implants. Post-operatively, iced compresses are placed over the eyelids for a few days. Ophthalmic antibiotic ointment is placed on the stitches twice a day. The final scars are well hidden within the natural crease of the eye lids. Sutures are usually removed within a week.
